A crowdsourced list of brands offering dog treats
The pet lifestyle sector has grown exponentially over the past few years. Even five years ago, we had only a handful of brands offering dog treats with human-grade ingredients. Today, numerous such brands operating at various scales deliver myriads of treats for dogs (some even make dog pizzas and burgers!).
With a rise in such brands, the need for a dog parent to rely on imported, plastic-ey treats has diminished. These treats caught your attention because of the flashy packaging, but a look at the ingredients and you knew they had no ‘real’ ingredients in them. This meant that they had no benefit for the dog. Furthermore, many such treats like Rawhide chews posed choking and other health hazards. I say good riddance!
Of course, as the numbers grow, it is difficult to keep track of brands that are making great products. I have used a handful of them and love them! I know that several other brands, which I am unaware of, make great dog treats. So I turned to my community on Instagram for their favourite ones.
