Part 2: Outsourcing species-appropriate food for your dog
Have you tried handling meat and can’t do it but still want to feed your dog a species-appropriate diet? Do you have no way to get a separate set of things to cook for your dog? Is it simply overwhelming? That’s okay! There’s no rule in the world that says that you have to personally cook the food your dog eats! Just don’t give your dog kibble yet; take a look at the alternatives below.
You can try reaching out to family and friends who are comfortable handling meat and ask them to help you out. In addition to this, several people are catering to the dietary requirements of dogs in vegetarian households, either by delivering ingredients, cooked meals or prepped meals that just need to be heated/ hydrated. More such services are cropping up across the country, but if you cannot find one that caters to your city or area, try one of those that deliver Pan-India.
Outsourcing meals might feel a tad expensive initially, but the costs even out over time. You should consider this an investment in your dog’s health — a good diet will make your dog strong and healthier, leading to fewer medical expenses along the way.
